"Education and upskilling has never been more important for the agriculture sector than it is now."

TURKEY TRAININGS became the TARIMKON’s official agricultural educational partner, in a move that both parties hope will help to tackle the skills shortage across the sector.

"I am excited at the possibilities the collaboration could bring" said Hakan Yuksel, the President of The International Confederation of Agriculture and Food adding that education will play a huge part in the future of farming, from upskilling the current workforce to educating the next generation of farmers.

TARIMKON is the largest non governmental sector organization in Turkey, exist solely to support its members to operate successfully, promoting sector-wide productivity and sustainability, and encourage internationally competitive agriculture and food systems.

As an umbrella organization representing more than 3,000 small and medium size farmer households, large-scale commercial farmers, agripreneurs and food producers across Turkey, TARIMKON operates in 640 provinces in 81 cities in Turkey, with 41 country offices worldwide.

TURKEY TRAININGS is delighted to be the TARIMKON’s first official agricultural education partner.

"The world has turned the spotlight on agriculture and the need for increased productivity, while sustaining the environment for future generations. Technology, data science and innovation will play key roles in meeting these challenges. However, there is a skills shortage in the sector and that more needs to be done both to attract talented people from a diverse range of backgrounds to address this. We’re looking forward to playing our part by providing valuable mentoring for TURKEY TRAININGS events, and to help educate the wider farming community."
